The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff schedule has undergone a significant makeover for the 2018 season.
Check out the new cutoff race and the 10-race playoff stetch for next year.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Regular season cutoff)
One of the biggest changes to the 2018 schedule includes the Brickyard 400.
Formally NASCAR’s summer classic, it will now move to the last race of the Monster Energy Series regular season and set the 16-driver playoff field.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway
After being awarded a second date beginning in 2018, Las Vegas Motor Speedway will now kick off the 10-race playoff stretch on Sept. 16, as Chicagoland Speedway has been moved to July 1.

Richmond International Raceway
With New Hampshire Motor Speedway losing a date and Indy being awarded the cutoff race, that left room for Richmond to host a playoff event on Sept. 22.
Charlotte Motor Speedway (Elimination race)
The biggest highlight among the schedule changes is addition of a road course in the playoffs, which will be run on Charlotte Motor Speedway’s new Roval on Sept. 30. It will also serve as the first elimination race.
Dover International Speedway
The Monster Mile will kick off the second round of the playoffs on Oct. 7.

Talladega Superspeedway
The fall race at Talladega will now be run on Oct. 14, continuing it’s spot in the second round.

Kansas Speedway (Elimination race)
The 1.5-mile Kansas track will serve as the second elimination race once again for the Monster Energy Series on Oct. 21.

Martinsville Speedway
Martinsville reserves it’s position as the first race of the third round in the playoffs on Oct. 28.

Texas Motor Speedway
Once again, the 1.5-mile Fort Worth oval will play host to the second race of the third playoff round on Nov. 4.

Phoenix Raceway (Elimination race)
The third and final Monster Energy Series elimination race will once again be held in the Valley of the Sun on Nov. 11.

Homestead-Miami Speedway
The 1-mile South Florida venue continues it’s run as the host of the Monster Energy Series championship finale, which will run on Nov. 18 in 2018.
