It took an extra day to run, but the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway is now in the books, with Jimmie Johnson scoring a dramatic victory, his 82nd in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
Here’s where all 39 drivers finished on Monday at Bristol:

Jimmie Johnson
Fresh off his first victory of the season, Johnson was the most recent Cup winner before the Bristol race. And darned if he didn’t go back to back this time.

Clint Bowyer
Best finish of the year so far for Bowyer, who fought through a pit-road penalty to come out of nowhere and finish second.
3
Kevin Harvick
Last August, Harvick won at Bristol. This time around, he had a very fast Stewart-Haas Racing Ford and wound up fighting for the victory.
4
Matt Kenseth
After a slow start to his season, Kenseth was hoping for a turnaround at Bristol, where he has four career victories.
5
Joey Logano
Both of Logano’s Bristol victories have come in the August race, and so far this year, he is winless.
6
Kyle Larson
After coming into Bristol as the series points leader, Larson started on the pole when qualifying was rained out. He led the first 203 laps, but a pit-road speeding penalty hurt him.
7
Chase Elliott
The qualifying rainout meant Elliott drew the No. 2 starting spot in the race.
8
Martin Truex Jr.
Bristol has never been one of Truex’s best tracks, but he’s improved a whole lot here. A pit-road speeding penalty cost him a chance at victory.
9
Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Bristol is far and away the best track on the circuit for Stenhouse, who twice has finished second here.
10
Denny Hamlin
Like his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, Hamlin showed better speed at Bristol than he had at most of the 1.5-mile tracks so far this year.
11
Trevor Bayne
Both of the Roush Fenway Racing Fords looked good at Bristol.
12
Jamie McMurray
Although not as fast as his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Kyle Larson, McMurray had another solid outing.
13
Austin Dillon
Top-15 finish for Dillon as the Richard Childress Racing squad was solid all day.
14
Ryan Newman
The Phoenix winner couldn’t find Victory Lane for a second time this year, but he was more than respectable.
15
Ty Dillon
Another top-15 finish for the younger Dillon, who is running for rookie honors.
16
Paul Menard
The Richard Childress Racing teammates all finished in the top 20.
17
Erik Jones
After winning the NASCAR XFINITY Series race here on Saturday, Jones came into Monday’s race as one of the favorites, despite being a rookie, and contended before a late accident.
18
Daniel Suarez
Despite nose damage, Suarez managed a top-20 finish.
19
Matt DiBenedetto
Not sixth like last spring, but not bad at all.
20
Kasey Kahne
The Hendrick Motorsports driver is a past winner at Bristol and he was consistent on Monday before late issues.
21
Cole Whitt
A solid finish for Whitt and the small TriStar Motorsports team who have had some good runs this season.
22
Aric Almirola
Almirola has kept his car around the top 20 all season, not a bad day for the No. 43 team.
23
David Ragan
Ragan recovered from a collision with Danica Patrick to grab a 23rd-place finish.
24
Corey LaJoie
A strong finish for the rookie driver who has slowly figured out how to handle a Cup Series car.
25
Kurt Busch
An early wreck forced Busch to log laps and try to make some laps back.

26
Michael McDowell
McDowell brings home another decent showing in his No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Chevrolet.
27
Jeffrey Earnhardt
After several weeks of poor finishes, Earnhardt kept his car clean and scored a decent finish.
28
Reed Sorenson
Sorenson posts his best finish of the season in the No. 55 ride.
29
Gray Gaulding
Gaulding logged laps and posted a solid showing.
30
AJ Allmendinger
A great early run went south for Allmendinger when he couldn’t avoid a sliding Erik Jones.
31
Derrike Cope
Cope kept his car on the track all day.
32
Landon Cassill
Cassill had issues all day and finished 42 laps down.
33
Ryan Blaney
A power steering issue cost Blaney a solid run.
34
Brad Keselowski
Similar to the No. 21, Keselowski faced power steering issues and went behind the wall for 67 laps.
35
Kyle Busch
Another difficult day for Busch at Bristol as he had a great car but two cut tires cost him big time.
36
Danica Patrick
The struggles continued for Patrick as she collided with David Ragan, ending her day early.
37
Timmy Hill
Hill struggled all day and finished 266 laps down.
38
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Not the day that Dale Jr. hoped for. Oil on his tire sent him into the wall on a restart, ending his day.

39
Chris Buescher
Buescher went to a backup car and attempted to climb through the field before being caught up in Kurt Busch’s wreck.
